How long will it take to paint the interior of my home?
Typically, we can paint 800 to 1,000 square feet of your home per day when using multiple colors. If just one color is used, we can paint up to 1,500 square feet of your home in one day. We will be happy to come by and take a look at your project and give you a more accurate estimation for your painting project.
What types of paint are most common?
Every wall, ceiling, cabinet and panel is painted with either a latex or an oil-based paint. Typically, latex is used to paint walls and ceilings while oil-based paints, like high gloss, satin and flat gloss, provides a more durable surface and are commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms, trim and doors. Here are some differences between these common oil-based paint finishes:
- High Gloss is the highest gloss finish. It is more durable and stain resistant than the others. And, it is the easiest to clean. High Gloss paint is almost always used on kitchen walls, cabinets, and bathroom walls. High Gloss is the most popular trim finish.
- Satin (or Semi Gloss) is a medium gloss finish. It is also relatively easy to clean and stain resistant. Satin finish is commonly used in the living areas, bedrooms, interior doors, and trim when a high gloss is not desired.
- Eggshell Finish is a medium-to-low gloss finish. It is semi-stain resistant and typically used like a flat gloss paint.
- Flat (or Matte) is the lightest gloss finish. It is easy to apply and most often used for painting the ceiling.

Interior House Painting Can Set the Mood
No, not that kind of mood! Well, maybe. But, we do know the right paint job can transform your home or business from bland to bright and beautiful. This is one area where you do not want to cut corners. Choosing the right mix of colors for the walls and trim can truly reflect your personality. It sends a message to your customers that you care about being professional and clean and neat. Research shows that paint can actually set the tone or mood of those in the room.
Dark colors can make the room look smaller while lighter colors can make the room look larger than it actually is. This of course can be affected by the lighting.
The interior paint job in your home makes a statement. What is yours saying?
